I live, study, and work out of Cleveland.
I began studying music at a very early age, with guidance from Kevin Fuller, Scott Pool, and John Kehayas. I've been seen performing as both a soloist and a substitute member with the Florida Orchestra, and as a substitute member of the Sarasota Orchestra, the Villages Philharmonic, the Dallas Winds, the Imperial Symphony Orchestra, the Tampa Oratorio Singers, and the St. Petersburg Opera Company. I've also been a part of numerous productions at the Straz Center for Performing Arts in Tampa for shows and tours such as The Phantom of the Opera, The King & I, and The Sound of Music, among other tours such as The Three Tenors, Il Volo, and Cirque du Soleil. I have also attended summer festivals such as the Maine Chamber Music Seminar and the Kinhaven Music School in Weston, Vermont. I'm currently continuing my studies into graduate school at the Cleveland Institute of Music with John Clouser, principal bassoonist with the Cleveland Orchestra. I’m also a finalist and substitute player for the New World Symphony in Miami under the direction of Michael Tilson Thomas.
As a musician, I'm always finding ways to stay on top of what I enjoy doing the most, which is performing for other people, with other people. However, I've found that I also take much joy into sharing my experiences on the stage with others, and the best way I can do that freely is by sharing my thoughts in this blog.
After reading this preamble, I sincerely hope that this project of mine can give you and other musicians the same inspiration I felt, and still do feel, whenever I’m moved by music and the people that it takes to provide such experiences. I'm very glad that you've taken the time to read my story; I hope you enjoy the numerous others that I will post here!
